Pope urges world leaders to address illegal immigration
Catholic World News reports that on August 31 the Pope Benedict urged the world's leaders to address the "emergency" of illegal immigration. It sounds to me like the Pope is on the same page as the U.S. Catholic Bishops. I wonder if the next U.S. President and Congress will heed his advice and address this hot issue?

Re: Pope urges world leaders to address illegal immigration
With a crucial distinction, Nord. He has made the point that the nations that people are leaving need to address conditions that are causing an exodus. The American bishops ignore that issue completely. The American bishops also ignore the stress and families and danger to souls that illegal immigration causes.
--- Nothing by force, but everything by charity.
