Re: Back to reality
I always thought it was set in a post nuclear apocalyptic world. The Pox Eclipse was what the children called it in their remembering.

Re: Back to reality
No, the world can turn into a nightmare without nuclear bombs. All that needs to happen is for a currency to become worthless.

Re: Back to reality
'In February the government of Zimbabwe revalued its currency. One of these new Zimbabwean dollars is worth one trillion of the previous. [41] This move took the number of noughts (zeros) removed during the period of hyperinflation to 25 (10^25 equals 10 septillion short scale; thus, if no revaluations had taken place, Zimbabwe would now be issuing 10 septillion dollar notes.)"

Re: Back to reality
They destroyed their economy with forced collectivization and then when tax revenues dried up they started printing money to pay for government expenditures.
Hey wait...

Re: Back to reality
It would be so ironic to see whites fleeing to Russia from USA , 100 years after Red October

Re: Back to reality
Russia has not embraced a philosophy of freedom either. They may be more Caucasian and nationalistic but...what home would Roman Catholics have there?
